It will lead you to the wonders of this picturesque region (Pond, Castle, Site, Crafts, Gastronomy), and to the Poitiers of the Puisaye Nivernaise.<\/p>\n\n<p>Village of 740 inhabitants, Rogny les Sept Ecluses is one of the tourist attractions of which Puisaye can be proud, with its curious work from which it takes its name.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The seven locks of Rogny<\/strong><br\/>Built at the beginning of the 17th century, this civil engineering work of<strong>Henry IV and Sully<\/strong>, which mobilized 12,000 workers, aimed to connect the Mediterranean and the Atlantic through a network of canals. The difference in level between the Loire and the Seine has imposed a juxtaposition of seven locks. This system has been stopped since the end of the 19th century, replaced by separate locks and a deviated route.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Fireworks of Rogny-les-Sept-Ecluses on July 30, 2011<\/strong><br\/>Every summer, a famous fireworks display takes place in Rogny-les-sept-\u00e9cluses. The commune then sees its population multiplied by 100!
